Brendan Rodgers’ contract means he has better salary than Jurgen Klopp and Frank Lampard as Premier League’s best paid managers are revealed

The Leicester boss has been linked with a move to Arsenal, who sacked Unai Emery last month.

The Northern Irishman had distanced himself from a move and increased that distance by signing the new deal.

It is understood Rodgers has now doubled his salary at Leicester – taking his pay from £5million-a-year to £10m.

This means that only Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho are on a higher pay packet than him.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is understood to be on an eye-watering £20m-a-year which is around £384,000-a-week.

Mourinho, who took charge of Tottenham last month, signed a £15m-a-year contract.

But Rodgers is ahead of Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp, who guided them to Champions League glory, with the German on £7.5m-a-year.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is on the same and West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini is next down the list on £7m.

Rodgers is comfortably ahead of Chelsea manager Frank Lampard, who is on a £5.5m-a-year deal at Stamford Bridge.
