WWE Aware or Sullivan’s Past, Lynch on Banks, New MLW Signings

Lars Sullivan made his main roster debut for WWE on the Raw after WrestleMania 35. Since then, he has been receiving a push on SmackDown, but his controversial posts that he made on a bodybuilding forum before joining WWE have come back to haunt him. Sullivan’s posts were first brought up back in November, but they resurfaced this week after Big E commented on them. On Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez noted that WWE was aware of the posts when they hired Sullivan years ago. Sullivan apologized for his comments to WWE officials and there is no heat on him at all. The comments Sullivan made have been deemed racist, homophobic, misogynistic, and he attacked those dealing with mental illnesses.

Many are aware. If true, he has to bear the albatross of being a bigot & working in a company that is now filled with minorities.

Speculation over Sasha Banks’ future with WWE continues to grow with each passing day. Banks reportedly tried to quit the company during WrestleMania 35. She has not been on WWE television at all since the event and is now believed to be at home taking a break from the road. This hasn’t been sitting well with SmackDown and Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch, who told Sports Illustrated that Banks has “fallen from grace” and that she “can’t hack it” in WWE anymore. Lynch challenged Banks to another match, but “The Boss” has not responded to Lynch as of yet. Banks was not announced for the Money in the Bank pay-per-view and it is unclear if she will ever be back in WWE again at this point.

“Let’s prove something. I know we’ve had tremendous matches back in NXT, and it’s been an age since we stepped in the ring together, and I would love to again, but this is a whole different kettle of fish. This ain’t ‘The Lasskicker’ anymore, this is ‘The Man.’ I would love to go toe-to-toe, ‘The Man’ vs. ‘The Boss,’ to prove who is the top dog now.” Lynch said.
Major League Wrestling just announced this week that the sons of WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Von Erich, Ross and Marshall Von Erich ,joined the promotion. However, that is not the only major talent announcement to come from MLW. PWInsider reports that Salina de la Renta’s deal has been restructured so that she will work in production and MLW’s offices. She is said to be signed to MLW for several more years now. Meanwhile, Beyond Wrestling’s Tristen Thai has signed a contract with the promotion as well. This has supposedly been in the works for a while now as MLW CEO Court Bauer has been impressed with his matches on the independent scene as of late. The report also notes that yet another MLW talent signing will be announced soon, possibly on MLW Fusion this Saturday on BeIN Sports.
