Rousey Spotted Having Dinner with Triple H, Full Sail News, Cage
It has been rumored for months now that Ronda Rousey is in the process of getting ready for a match at WrestleMania this April. Even though it was reported that Rousey was not actually in talks with WWE recently, there may be more truth to the earlier reports of Ronda possibly making her pro wrestling debut very soon. TMZ recently provided footage of Rousey and Triple H leaving a Los Angeles restaurant after having dinner together. Neither one of them would clearly answered why they were speaking together, but Rousey’s agent was present for the meeting. Rousey is rumored to be missing the Royal Rumble due to filming commitments for a movie, but perhaps a last minute change was made.
NXT just recently taped a few of their shows at Center Stage in Atlanta, Georgia. The former home of WCW Saturday Night has agreed to host NXT for a while due to scheduling conflicts that WWE has had lately with their usual NXT location Full Sail University. A few shows have already been taped in Georgia, and the first show from Center Stage aired on the WWE Network as part of last night’s NXT broadcast. PWInsider has updated fans on when WWE may be bringing the developmental show back to Orlando. It turns out that NXT will not be coming back to Full Sail until March 7th. Until then, NXT is expected to continue taping shows in Atlanta.
Impact Wrestling is back taping shows at Universal Studios Florida in Orlando this week, and the tapings are the first to be held under the new regime of Ed Nordholm, Don Callis, and Scott D’Amore. Several noticeable changes have happened already–namely the decision to bring back the four-sided ring, as well as the return of Austin Aries–but it sounds like the surprises don’t stop there. PWInsider reported recently that Lucha Underground star Brian Cage is currently backstage for the Impact tapings tonight. It is expected that Cage will indeed be debuting for the promotion at some point later on this week.
