Kanye West: I’d have voted for Trump, if I voted

“I said something that was kind of politically correct,” West told listeners during a concert in San Jose, Calif., late Thursday. “I told y’all I didn’t vote, right?

“What I didn’t tell you. … If I were to have voted, I would have voted on Trump,” West added, inspiring a mix of boos and cheers.

“Echoing is what made people think Hillary was going to win,” he said during his first performance since Trump’s victory last week. “You thought because what the internet was telling you, that she was going to win.”

West additionally reaffirmed he will launch a White House run in 2020, vowing he would serve as a “different type of president” if he wins.

“I’m a human being too. I have feelings,” he said. “I like the debates. I’m a guy and a rapper, I’m a non-political rebel, the debates were entertaining.”

West spontaneously announced during the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards he would launch an Oval Office bid in 2020 after a performance.

West played during a Democratic National Committee fundraiser in San Francisco last month, an event also featuring a speech from President Obama.
